Adrienne Day

Adrienne Day joined the Board in July 2016 and was appointed Chair in May 2021. She is co-founder and director of Day & Hodge Associates Pty Ltd, a Canberra-based public relations and corporate affairs consultancy established in 1998.

Adrienne has worked in public relations for more than 25 years at both national and international levels, including in Australia (Sydney, Canberra) and Switzerland (Geneva). She specialises in strategic counsel, governance, issues management, government relations, project management and media relations.

Adrienne has a BA Communication (With Distinction) from Charles Sturt University. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia. She is also a non-executive director of ChairConnect and provides pro bono services to HOME in Queanbeyan.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Adrienne was part of the first cohort of girls to attend ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College (1977-78) and both her daughters are graduates.



Rachel Davies

Rachel is the Principal of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College. She held the position of Deputy Principal from 2019 to 2020 before being appointed as Principal in 2021. She began her teaching career with the ACT Department of Education in 1997 before being appointed as a teacher of Economics and Business Studies at St Clare’s College, ACT. During her tenure at St Clare’s College, Rachel held various positions including SOSE Coordinator, Assistant Principal Curriculum and Assessment, and Assistant Principal Staffing and Administration. In 2010, Rachel held the position Director of Curriculum and Assessment (Years 7-10) at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, beginning her association with the College. At the end of that year, however, Rachel joined her family on a posting to London for three years. Upon her return to Canberra, Rachel returned to Catholic Education with positions at St Clare’s College and as Assistant Principal at St John Paul II College. Rachel is currently the Deputy Chair of the Association of Independent Schools ACT and represents the Association on the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies. Rachel is also the Congregational Catholic Schools representative on the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education Commission.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Rachel is the College Principal.


Chris McDermott

Chris joined the Board in March 2024. He was a secondary school teacher for 44 years with 24 of those years as a Principal in three different Catholic schools.

Chris has worked in Catholic education in both independent and systemic schools. He has sat on state and national body committees and has, and continues, to play a role in the national and international Laity of the Chevalier Family.

Chris has a Masters in Educational Leadership, a Bachelors degree of Secondary Education and a Diploma in Teaching.

Chris is a Director of the four MSC schools in Australia.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Chris was Principal at Chevalier College Bowral, a sister school of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College, for 15 years prior to retiring at the end of 2022. He has subsequently returned to employment as the Director, MSC Education.


Michael Munro-Mobbs

Michael was appointed to the Board in April 2020. He serves on the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee and and currently is Deputy Chair of the Board, appointed May 2021.

He is a commercial technology attorney with a focus on digital transformation, managed technology services, telecommunications, cybersecurity and corporate ethics and compliance. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws from the ANU.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: His daughter graduated from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ in 2021.


Nathan Spillane

Nathan was appointed to the Board in March 2020. He serves on the Buildings, Facilities, Resources and IT Committee and has done so since 2019.

Nathan is an IT professional currently working with a mid tier consulting firm here in Canberra. He specialises in cloud-based technology programs. Nathan also has a Bachelor of Education through the Australian Catholic University and has taught in Catholic primary schools for six years.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Nathan has two daughters who attended ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College from 2011 to 2019.


Shaun Wilson

Shaun Wilson was appointed to the Board in April 2021 and is a member of the Building, Facilities, Resources and IT Committee

Shaun is a professional engineer and the founder of complex systems design house, Shoal Group. He has held a range of board roles during his career covering technology start-ups, investment, construction and professional societies.

Shaun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Loughborough University at the Royal Air Force College in the UK. He also holds a Diploma in Information Systems Design from the University of Canberra and is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and of the National Graduate School of Management (NGSM) at the ANU. He is a Certified Practising Systems Engineer (CSEP) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Shaun attended ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ from 1980 to 1985.


Andrew Webber

Andrew was appointed to the Board in April 2021 and is the Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Andrew brings extensive corporate accounting, audit and risk management skills from his over 15 years’ experience as an auditor and trusted financial accounting advisor working across the public and private sectors and a diverse range of industries.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Canberra, is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Andrew attended the College from 1996 to 2001.


Deb Hicks

Deb Hicks was appointed to the Board in March 2022 and serves on the Policy Review Committee.

Deb works with all levels of Defence, Government and private organisations on their complex commercial and performance challenges as well as providing extensive financial, commercial, internal audit and assurance experience and advice. 

Deb has led a number of projects in the private and public sectors including business cases for significant capital expenditure, procurement support and risk management and program management support. She has provided advice to CFO, COO and CEO of agencies in the Commonwealth and ACT Governments.

Deb holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Accounting and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) practitioner.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Deb was a student at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ from 1991-1992 


Kai Ryan

Kai Ryan joined the Board in February 2023 and serves on the Policy Review Committee. He works as a strategy consultant and is co-founder and director of Live Better Nutrition Pty Ltd, a Canberra-based company Allied Health firm with dietitians that work across the Canberra region.

Kai’s career has spanned strategy consulting and technology, including roles with the Boston Consulting Group, Partners in Performance, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and CSC (now DXC). He has worked as a strategy consultant since 2015 and specialises in technology enabled transformations and strategy development, and he has worked with many ASX listed companies and most of the Federal Government departments.

Kai has a MBA (with Distinction) from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) along with a Bachelors of Laws and a Bachelor of Information Technology (ANU). He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Kai has training in project management, enterprise architecture and Not-For-Profit directorship.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Kai’s father attended ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥. Kai has three children, one of whom graduated from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ in 2023 and two who are current students.


Kamal Jogia

Kamal Jogia joined the Board in February 2023 and currently chairs the Community Engagement Committee. He works as a senior science and technology adviser for an Australian Commonwealth Government agency.

Kamal has over 30 years’ experience leading business transformation programmes in the public and private sectors, at national and international levels including many Australian Federal Government Departments, the UK Government, and in Tanzania. He specializes in using systems and design thinking to help organisations adapt to rapid changes in social, economic, technological, and behavioural landscapes.

Kamal holds a Master of National Security Policy degree from the Australian National University, and a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the American International University in Richmond, London. He has Practitioner certifications in project management, business, data, and enterprise architecture and recently completed a Not-for-Profit director training at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Kamal’s daughter and son are graduates.


Carolyn Beake

Carolyn Beake joined the Board in March 2024 and serves on the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Commerce) from the University of Canberra, an Advanced Diploma of Procurement & Contract Management and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand. Carolyn is a Director and Senior Executive of Cordelta Pty Ltd, a company established in Canberra in 2004 which provides services to government, private and not-for-profit sectors across program and project management, financial services, procurement and contract management, change and transformation, digital services, engagement and communications, strategic business strategy and business systems design.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Carolyn attended ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College (1986-87) and all four of her children have attended ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College with the youngest currently in the class of 2024.


Petrina Cole

Petrina was appointed to the Board in March 2024 and serves on the Community Engagement Committee.

Petrina is an experienced public servant having worked across Defence and whole of government projects supporting Australians. Her experience stretches across human resources, governance, service delivery and public policy. Petrina has a Bachelor of Education (Honours) from the University of Wollongong and an Advanced Diploma of Government (Human Resources) from Canberra Institute of Technology. Petrina was a teacher in the ACT Government prior to joining the Commonwealth public service.

Affiliation with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥: Petrina has two sons currently attending ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ and another joining in 2025.
