Sport
The vibrant sporting life of the College is an essential and established part of the co-curricular program. Students have the opportunity to participate as members of teams in inter-house and inter-school competitions.
The emphasis of the sporting program is to encourage participation, no matter the level of skill, and to nurture a sporting culture that leads to personal best performances. The sporting program allows individuals to experiment with new sports and encourages seasoned competitors to improve their skills and to achieve at higher levels.
÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ College is proud that current students and former students have performed at elite levels, representing both their state and country in a wide variety of sporting disciplines.

One Day Carnival Teams
Students have the opportunity to trial for selection in One Day Carnival teams convened by School Sport ACT and Sporting Associations. Please visit our Inter School Competitions page to see a list of some of the sports available to students.
The facilities for sport include the large Sports Centre located within the Garratt Building. The Sports Centre houses two indoors courts used primarily for Basketball training and other indoor sport and Physical Education activities, a viewing gallery, changerooms, the Phil Sinclair Weights Room, storage rooms, a canteen used on Sports Days as well as a laundry. The Sports Office and PE and Health Offices are located within the Sports Centre.
The College maintains two ovals and a multipurpose facility located on College grounds behind the Sports Centre. The fields are used for Rugby home matches, Rugby training, Dara Cricket Academy training and for other field sports training.
An additional multipurpose facility (previously called the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Tennis Courts) is located a short walk from the College on Hope Street, Dickson.
The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Boat Shed, on Lake Burley Griffin, is the base for our vibrant rowing community. The College was one of the first schools in the ACT to build a boat shed at Black Mountain Peninsula.
The Phil Sinclair Weights Room is located within the Sports Centre and includes a fully equipped weights room, cardio machines, rowing machines, stationary bikes, cross trainers and treadmill.
Venues
The Sports Office books venues for flagship sporting events including Dickson Pool for the House Swimming Carnival; Stromlo Forest Park for the House Cross Country; Dickson Oval for the House Athletics Carnival and Reid Oval as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Cricket home ground.
Uniforms
Students representing ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ in one day teams are required to wear correct uniform, including the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ track suit. The Uniform Shop can supply selected sport extra-curricular uniform items.
Sports Awards
The College is proud to acknowledge students’ sporting efforts and achievements through Sports Awards.
Any current student who has represented ACT, Australia or ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ should apply for a ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥Â Sports Award. Sports Nomination Forms are available from outside the Sports Office.
